A WOMAN who was nabbed by cops after trying to scale the front gates of Buckingham Palace has been charged with being drunk and disorderly.
The trespasser, believed to be in in her 30s was quickly detained by officers yesterday afternoon before she gained access to the palace grounds - while crowds applauded the quick response.
Video posted on social media showed a woman being physically restrained on the gilded fence outside the palace by two police officers in front of stunned tourists.
She was then led away to a waiting police car.
Jessica Davey, 35, will now appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Monday, the Metropolitan Police said.
The security breach followed a number of alerts yesterday in the capital.
This afternoon a cab driver mounted the pavement and struck pedestrians outside London's Natural History Museum, leaving 11 people injured.
Armed cops scrambled to the busy tourist hotspot "within ten minutes" of the incident, according to eyewitnesses, who saw a blood-soaked man pinned to the floor as he was detained.
The Met Police later said it was a crash rather than terrorism.
Soon after, in nearby Euston Station terrified passengers fled after the travel hub was placed on lock-down.
Fleeing passengers can be heard screaming in a clip posted online as authorities have confirmed there was a "security alert" at the station in the north of the capital.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police told The Sun Online that officers performed a "sweep" of the station after being called at 6:19pm local time about a security alert.
The busy travel hub was reopened at 6:38pm.
