Scots schoolgirl, 15, charged with six terrorism offences including ‘being member of extremist group’

A SCOTS schoolgirl has appeared in court facing multiple terrorism charges, including allegations of membership in an extremist group.

The 15-year-old, from Dundee, stands accused of six separate offences under the Terrorism Act 2000 and the Terrorism Act 2006.

Due to legal restrictions, her identity cannot be disclosed.

According to reports from , the teenager appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court and made no plea during the hearing.

Among the charges brought against her is one related to the encouragement of terrorism.

Prosecutors allege that she either belonged to or claimed to be part of a terrorist organisation.

It is further alleged that she expressed opinions or beliefs supportive of such a group, demonstrating recklessness regarding whether her actions might encourage others to support the organisation.

Additionally, she faces accusations of inviting support for a terrorist organisation and of committing offences related to the collection of information.

The girl attended a private hearing earlier this week in connection with the six charges on petition.

Sheriff David Hall granted her bail after committing her for further examination.
