Man found dead after fire rips through house prompting police probe

A MAN has died after a fire ripped through a house in Scotland this morning.

Firefighters discovered the man's body after being called to Waggon Road, Leven, at about 7.45am.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman told said:  “Police in Fife are currently in attendance following a fatal fire at an address in Waggon Road, Leven.

“The incident was reported around 7.45am on Tuesday, February 21.

“Police and emergency services attended and a male fatality was found within.

“Enquiries are currently ongoing with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”

Scottish Fire and Rescue confirmed a joint investigation will be launched alongside police.
