One person dead after house fire in Lossiemouth as cops launch probe into blaze

COPS are probing an inferno at a house in Lossiemouth, Moray, that left one person dead.
Emergency services raced to the scene on Elgin Road in the town after the alarm was raised at around 4pm today.
Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control but it was discovered that one person had died in the incident.
Police say there are no suspicious surrounding the fire.
A police spokesman said: "Officers from Police Scotland attended the report of a house fire at a property on Elgin Road, Lossiemouth. Scottish Fire and Rescue Service personnel also deployed to the scene and following their intervention the fire was successfully extinguished.
"The A941 Elgin Road was closed between Inchbroom Road and Coulardbank Road, Lossiemouth for some time while emergency services dealt with the incident.
"Sadly there was one fatality. No other persons were injured."
Police Officers will remain at the address overnight and a joint fire investigation will take place on Thursday 16th February 2017.
