'MY SISTER'S HUSBAND ABUSED ME'

Brave woman abused by her brother-in-law as a child tells of years of horror at hands of evil paedophile

Louise Clinton, 32, has bravely waived her right to anonymity to tell how she suffered for years at the hands of evil Billy King

A WOMAN whose childhood was stolen by her paedophile brother-in-law has boldly spoken out about her years of torment.

Louise Clinton, who has bravely waived her right to anonymity, was sexually assaulted by evil Billy King Junior from the age of six.

King, a member of a notorious Edinburgh paedo ring, was married to Louise's sister and would prey on the young girl when she stayed at their house during her childhood years.

The sick perv would abuse the young girl at his home six or seven times a month, and convinced her "it's what happens to all your friends".

Louise, who views herself as a survivor rather than a victim, came forward about the historic crimes three-and-a-half years ago and King was eventually found guilty last month.

The 52-year-old first abused Louise, from Lochgelly, Fife, when she was six-years-old and staying at the couple’s Edinburgh home while her mum was unwell.

She told The Sun Online: “I’d gone to bed and I heard him creeping down the corridor. I pretended to be asleep as I was always really scared of Mr King and thought I’d get in trouble for being awake.

“He came into the room and over to the bed, I could smell his smoky breath. He put his hands under the sheets and I tried to move away a bit, and he just kept touching me. Touching my legs, my stomach and then under my underwear.

“I didn’t know what was going on, I was only six. I rolled over and he got up and left the room.”

King threatened Louise with violence if she ever told anyone what “had happened between them”, a threat he continued throughout the years of abuse.

The-now-32-year-old said: “I didn’t understand what he’d done, but I told him I didn’t like it.

“He told me that’s what all men do to little girls, and said my dad and brother would do it to me too. He said it would have happened to all my friends.

“I was only six, I didn’t know any better so I just thought ‘oh, okay then’.”

The evil brute systematically abused the young girl for the following seven years, taking any opportunity alone with the child, who regularly stayed over, to attack her.

Louise said: “I blamed my mum for sending me there and what had happened to me, even though she had no idea.”

On one occasion, when Louise was nine and staying at her sister’s house with her three-year-old nephew, King demanded the young girl come onto the sofa with him after her sister went upstairs for a bath.

Louise, who now has two sons aged 12 and five, said: “I told him no but he picked me up, sat me beside him on the sofa, pulled out his penis and made me perform a sex act on him.

“My nephew was in the room, he could actually see, but he was playing so I don’t think he noticed anything.”

When Louise’s sister came back downstairs unexpectedly, the monster threw the nine-year-old to the floor and hurriedly did himself up as she walked in the room.

Sensing something was up the older sibling asked what was going on and her and King got into a heated argument.

Louise said her sister demanded “the truth”, but “the whole time she was asking Billy just stood behind her drawing his hand across his throat and staring at me, like he would kill me if I said anything so I just kept saying nothing”.

The abuse continued for the next four years and Louise avoided spending time at her sister’s house as she realised the gravity of what was happening to her.

Evil King and his wife had moved to Inverkeithing, Fife, and Louise was forced to stay with the pair for four months when she was 12 to attend a nearby secondary school, while her mum waited for a house in the area.

Louise’s sister worked long, late shifts and the abuse worsened, with the twisted man attacking her “whenever he felt like it”.

The secondary school pupil began making friends in Fife and met boyfriend Ross, who she is now married to and has two sons with.

Her new friendships made evil King jealous, and he would try to force himself on Louise more often, insisting “he knew she wanted it”, “he would leave his wife for her” and “they could be boyfriend and girlfriend”.

King tried to force Louise to break up with Ross, saying “he’s only after one thing, and that’s what you and I do”.

The brave 12-year-old stood up to her attacker, threatening to tell someone unless he stopped, but was told“f*** you, don’t bother – nobody will believe you”.

Louise said: “The more I thought about the more I thought ‘he’s right nobody will believe me’, everybody knew and liked him, so I just kept quiet.”

One night when Louise was 12, she told King she would go to his house after he “offered her money” and “refused to take no for an answer” – but had no intention of following through and went out with friends instead.

When she didn’t show up the paedophile raced to find her and screamed at the schoolgirl to get in his car.

Louise said: “I wanted to run home, it was just down the hill – but didn’t want my friends to see so I walked over to the car and got in.

“I was having heart palpitations. I knew there was going to be a hard punishment, even though I hadn’t done anything.”

The savage took Louise back to his house and attacked her as she desperately tried to run upstairs, lock herself in the bathroom and call her mum.

She said: “He ran right up behind me, tripped me up on the top step and I fell flat on my face with him behind me.

“I screamed, I said no and begged him to ‘get off me’. He was a big man, I was tiny, I was just a size eight at the time. I was trying to get him off and he just said ‘this is all you needed to do Louise, this is all you needed to do. You’ve caused so much f***ing trouble.’

“The whole time he was breathing on me with his smoky breath. I just felt so sick.”

Louise ran to the toilet in floods of tears and locked herself in to wash her face.

She said: “I just kept thinking, ‘I can’t believe he’s done this to me’. I washed my face, left the bathroom and he dropped me back to my friends, just like that.

“I felt sick. My heart stopped beating, I was dying inside. I felt broken from that night on, I felt broken inside. I never felt the same again.”

Louise did not tell anybody about the abuse King put her through until she was 26, when she confessed to her dad on his deathbed and promised to tell police “when the time was right”.

A couple of weeks later Louise was visiting her nan in hospital with family, including King and her sister, and a police report into allegations made by sex attack victim Dana Fowley came on TV.

She had accused her mum and stepdad, who was King’s dad, of sexually abusing her with a ring of paedophile friends.

Louise said: “The report said police still wanted to speak to three people in connection with the crimes and Billy went as white as a sheet.

“I knew instantly he was one of them. I felt sick, I suddenly knew it wasn’t just me, he’d done it to Dana as well.”

King was questioned over Dana’s allegations twenty years ago, but claimed the two were in a consensual relationship and was not charged.

Louise eventually told her sister about the horror abuse three-and-a-half years ago, after getting into an argument with King at their house.

The monster had accused Louise of forgetting his daughter’s birthday and after a night out drinking began physically and verbally abusing the mum-of-two.

Louise said: “He grabbed my hair so tight and pulled it so my face was right in front of him. My initial reaction was ‘he’s going to kiss me’ and I just froze.

“He was screaming in my face ‘you fat s***’, calling me every name under the sun. His breath still smelled of smoke like it did all those years ago and it just brought everything back.

“I was so angry, I just blurted ‘tell my sister what you did to me, or I will’.”

King ignored the comment but after Louise repeated it her sister demanded to know what was going on.

Louise said: “I tried to make him tell her and he wouldn’t and I just said ‘he abused me, your husband abused me.’”

King furiously denied the allegations and tried to claim they had sex when Louise was 18, even claiming they had an affair – a defence he maintained in court.

Louise, who has since been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, went to police the following day, saying: "I couldn't live, I felt guilty about what he'd done to me.

"But I just said, I can't live with this - I'm going to kill myself and I'm going to kill him unless I tell police."

King was questioned and eventually charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of rape against Louise when she was a child.

He will be sentenced on July 8 after being found guilty of three counts of child sex charges, including forcing Louise to perform a sex act on him.

The rape charge on Louise against King was not proven due to a lack of evidence.

He was also found guilty of raping Dana Fowley, who has also waived her right to anonymity, when she was 12-years-old and sexually abusing the child for three years.
