Fourth member of Jihadi John’s ISIS torture cell ‘The Beatles’ identified as ‘softly spoken’ London fairground mechanic

THE fourth member of Jihadi John’s ISIS terror cell known as ‘The Beatles’ has been named as  ‘softly spoken’ London fairground mechanic.

British and American intelligence services identified 27-year-old El Shafee Elsheikh as the final member of the group of guards responsible for torturing and killing western hostages in Syria.

unmasked Elsheikh, who came from a family of Sudanese communists in West London after tracking down and speaking to the jihadi’s mother, Maha Elgizouli.

She told how her “perfect” son was radicalised in just 17 days, after listening to CDs by hate preacher Hani al-Sibai and attending radical sermons at a local Mosque near their home in White City.

The mechanical engineering student grew up in the same area as the other ‘Beatles’ members Alexanda Kotey, Aine Davis and Mohammed Emwazi.

A family friend told BuzzFeed News how he suddenly began wearing robes, grew out his beard and started arguing with his mum about religion.

At one stage, the formerly “quiet and respectful” young man pointed his finger aggressively in her face and told her: “You know, Allah says your mum can be your enemy.”

It is understood that Elsheikh, who also lured his impressionable younger brother Mahmoud into radical Islam, now lives in Syria with his two wives and two young kids.

Mahmoud has since been killed fighting for ISIS in Iraq, and his mum told of her frustration as she tried to stop the pair from sliding into extremism.

Maha complained the government refused to help, and said she was powerless to intervene at the Mosque as she couldn’t enter without a man with her.

‘The Beatles’ – nicknamed by their captors because of their Brit accents – gained a notorious reputation for brutality.

The group were known for waterboarding and shocking their victims with electricity, carrying out mock executions to terrorise and break down their captives.

They beheaded seven Western hostages, including Brits David Haines and Alan Henning.

Just last week Alan Henning’s emotional widow opened a memorial garden in honour of her murdered husband in his native Salford.

She said: “He didn’t care what religion people were or what colour their skin was – he just wanted to help.”

32-year-old Alexanda Kotey from Shepherd's Bush was also named as a member of the terror cell earlier this year

In February Alexanda Kotey was named as another member of ‘The Beatles’ cell.

The 32-year-old convert grew up in Shepherd’s Bush and attended the same place of worship as Emwazi - the Al-Manaar Mosque.

He was part of an extremist network called the ‘London Boys’ who have been linked to terrorist attacks and plots on mainland Britain.
