Prison inmate admits sending threatening letters to Boris Johnson and female MPs

A PRISON inmate has admitted sending a threatening letter to PM Boris Johnson.
Rakeem Malik, 53, also pleaded guilty to making threats to kill against Labour MPs Jess Phillips and Rosie Cooper.
And he admitted sending letters with the intention of causing distress or anxiety to Ms Phillips and ex-PM Theresa May.
Malik is an inmate at Birmingham jail on an indeterminate sentence
His letter intending to cause stress or anxiety to Mr Johnson was sent in December last year, the city’s crown court heard.
Most of the other letters were also sent last year.
Although Mrs May received one when she was still in office in December 2018.

Malik will be sentenced on June 11.
After the hearing, Ms Phillips tweeted: "Today I hope will be some way towards a conclusion in this case in court.
"Sending massive thanks to the police and also to my staff and other parliamentary staff who are often the first to receive gruesome threats and frightening aggression."
