The reigning Miss England is poised to join the fight against Covid-19.
Bhasha Mukherjee, 24, is swapping her crown for scrubs by returning to work as a doctor at a busy NHS hospital.

She said: “There is no better time to serve. I hope I can help my amazing team to save as many lives as possible.”
Bhasha planned to put her medical career on hold. She took part in Miss World last year and spend the start of this year travelling and doing charity work.
However, when the pandemic worsened, she cut short a trip to India and dashed home.
On Thursday, Bhasha was measured up for the mask she will wear.
She admitted: “I feel anxious about returning.
“This disease is so deadly that you have to keep your wits about you.

Bhasha will now work as part of the team at the Pilgrim Hospital in her hometown of Boston, Lincs.
