Huge car brand issues ANOTHER recall for over 273,000 motors due to brake issue that ‘increases risk of crash’
A HUGE car brand has issued a recall for over 273,000 vehicles due to a brake issue that supposedly increases the risk of a crash.
This comes just weeks after they issued a recall for the same issue that affected other models.
American motor company, Ford, has announced it is recalling 273,789 motors in the US due to a loss of brake function, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
According to the agency, the recall targets certain 2022-2024 model Navigator and Expedition vehicles.
The affected vehicles may experience the front brake lines coming into contact with the engine air cleaner outlet pipe.
This can damage the lines and cause brake fluid to leak as a result and owners of the models can expect to be notified of the recall via mail from May 26.

It is expected that Ford dealerships will then replace the front brake line and air cleaner outlet pipe if necessary and free of charge.
They added that owners of the vehicles impacted by the fault can see if their vehicle is on the recall list on the NHTSA website.
The same issue prompted a recall from Ford in mid-April for other models.
Over 123,000 examples of the 2017-18 Ford F-150, Expedition and Lincoln Navigator models were recalled because of a fluid leak issue.

More recently, Ford recalled over 129,000 of its Bronco models from between 2022 and 2023.
The Ford Bronco SUV's are feared to have faults with their 360-degree view camera not displaying rear-view video when reversing the vehicle.
Drivers of the model were warned of a blue or distorted image appearing "intermittently" on their SYNC screens.
After concerns were raised over the chance of potential crashes, Ford said it would replace the cameras at no cost to owners, while those who have already paid out-of-pocket for these repairs before the recall are eligible for reimbursement.
Ford began contacting impacted owners of the Bronco models early last week.
The car giant are not the only company to be affected by car recalls either.
The NHTSA announced multiple car recalls last week, including a notice for over 400,000 Volvo vehicles, according to a .
The vehicles were also experiencing a glitch where the rearview camera blacked out when reversing.

Volkswagen also recalled over 89,000 vehicles over fears their cylinder head cover screws have been improperly tightened.
As a result, the screw can potentially loosen, fall out and cause an engine oil leak, posing a fire risk if the leaked oil ignites.
