Rare... The Gallardo LP560-4 Bicoloreis 1 of 250

“It's been a crazy 15 months since buying the Audi R8,” Wallace tells Sun Motors. “Since then my channel has really taken off and I'm continually developing content on a daily basis to support my growth.”

The vlogger says the success of SOL began with a couple of lucky viral videos shot by the car fanatic in 2006.

I've been a fan of Justin Bieber's work since he was 14/15

“I randomly found a couple of Aston Martins and took photos and videos to upload to the Internet.

“I never had intentions to earn money from the internet. I always had a desire to run my own company but Twitter, Instagram etc didn't even exist so it was impossible to foresee a future of earning a living through social media.”

Test drive... One of Wallace's daily videos

Although he says it’s more of a hobby than a job, Wallace spends all day filming and editing, leaving him little time for anything else. Not that he’s complaining.

“Vlogging is my daily job, if you can call it a job,” he explains.

“It's my hobby and I thoroughly enjoy doing it and put in 8-10 hours of filming per day, let alone 2 hours to edit and all through the day having to stay up to date with social media.

Despite becoming a household name on the online car scene, the SOL founder revealed the Top Gear presenter job didn’t appeal to him.

Then and now... The YouTuber is upgrading from an Audi R8

“I want to create my own quirky brand of automotive content. Top Gear without the 3 long standing presenters won't be same.”

What’s next for this YouTuber? A clothing line and filming his adventures around the globe are in the pipeline, and hopes to drive with Justin Bieber.

“I've been a fan of his work since he was 14/15. He loves his cars and has an awesome Liberty Walk Ferrari 458 Italia. He seems a really cool guy and it would be a lot of fun cruising in a Lamborghini through London!”
