Debenhams launches in-store gyms with money off beauty products with memberships
Now you can work up a sweat in your local department store, and enjoy great deals on beauty products too
IF you fancy going shopping and getting a workout all in one go, Debenhams' might have the perfect solution.
The department store will be opening gyms in three of its shops this year, kicking off in Sutton.
It has partnered with fitness operators Sweat! Gyms to allow its shoppers the ultimate workout without even leaving the store.
Even better, the retailer is planning on giving shoppers who regularly work out up to £100 worth of incentives.
Anyone who signs up to the new gyms will get access to the retailer's Beauty Club reward scheme. You'll can also get preloaded cards to redeem against purchases.
The more often you work out, the better the rewards will be.
We've asked Debenhams for some more details on this and will update this article when we can.
The first in-store gym will open on the 10th September in the Debenhams Sutton store.
Manchester and Bristol will be the next locations to offer workouts, with gyms opening early next year.
On adding further locations to the partnership, Sergio Bucher, Debenhams CEO said: “I am looking forward to showcasing our latest strategic partnership to customers at our Sutton store followed by taking the concept to Manchester and Bristol.
"Adding a highly innovative leisure facility to our stores is an integral part of the Debenhams Redesigned strategy to deliver ‘social shopping’ and I am keen to see customer reactions to the initiative.”

A spokeswoman for Sweat! Gyms told they would be bringing a new feel to Sutton.
She said: "Yes it's a gym, but not one as you know it, offering fitness that’s performance-driven, group orientated, friendly, and fully integrated with the latest in wearable, performance tracking technology," she said.
"Sweat! Gyms will offer up to seven different group exercise functions corralled under one roof with virtual spinning and aerobics, as well as core exercises which burn 1000 calories an hour.
"Members will have comprehensive feedback on all of their workouts, which they can then share on social media and they’ll earn Debenhams rewards just for working out."
All facilities will offer the latest Technogym apparatus, immersive cinematic exercise activity areas and digital health check points
Prices start from £18.99 (much cheaper than the £31.99 you'd have to shell out in other Sweat! Gyms). Even better there are limited .
