Tesco axes popular Clubcard trick at tills from TODAY and customers are angry

TESCO shoppers are furious as the supermarket has axed a popular feature from today.
Customers will no longer be able to pay via the Tesco app at tills, upsetting customers who enjoyed the convenience of paying and collecting Clubcard points in one go.
Starting today, March 7, the popular 'Pay In-Store' feature, previously known as Tesco Pay+, has been officially scrapped as part of a wider review of Tesco’s app functionality, leaving many customers frustrated.
An email sent to customers confirmed that this change would come into effect today, warning that the feature will no longer work, and any saved card details will be removed unless used for GetGo, Whoosh, or home delivery.
The message read: “To ensure we’re able to keep bringing out the best value and convenience, we’ve taken the decision to remove the pay in-store feature from the Tesco app.”
Customers now must pay separately after scanning their Clubcard at the till, ending the previous, simpler process.
