Amanda Holden on ignoring the critics of her ‘smutty’ pantomime Cinderella and the threat to Pippa Middleton’s wedding
THIS is the final week of Cinderella – I can’t believe how quickly the past month has flown by (a bit like me in my Fairy Godmother costume!).
I don’t read reviews, but I’ve been told we’ve had lots of amazing ones, apart from a few that accused the show of being smutty.
When Chris told me that I just cackled. Some people are so easily offended!
It’s been such an intense few weeks, especially because on the days we have a matinee and an evening performance there just isn’t enough time to go home.
So if I fancy a bit of a gossip I sneak outside to find Julian Clary and Paul O’Grady, who are always having a crafty fag, or I invite the very charming Nigel Havers round to my dressing room for a cuppa.
He’s so eccentric – I love him!
He let me in on a secret that he’s just filmed an episode of Life Stories with my old chum Piers Morgan, so I’m looking forward to watching that on TV soon.
Hollie and Lexi come to keep me company, too, and we’ll settle in for an afternoon movie and a bowl of strawberry bonbons – our guilty pleasure.
You have to cure the January blues somehow!
I love reality TV and I can’t wait for The Jump to begin this month.
When I read which celebs were crazy enough to risk injury this year, I was stunned to see former-MIC star Spencer Matthews on the list.
Is he mad? He’ll be at Pippa Middleton’s wedding in May, because she’s marrying his brother. MOTB Carole will not be happy if he’s on crutches – it will ruin the photos!

Speaking of snow, lots of my friends are jetting off on ski holidays this month, but I can’t think of anything worse.
