Janice — a size 22 who weighed 18st 8lb when she walked up the aisle — is now 10st 9lb and a size 12.

William — who was 17st and a size XXXL — is a trim 11st 10lb.

The couple joined a slimming club in January last year after their GP warned them they were both obese.

Fire installer William, 35, who has type 1 diabetes, had ballooned to 18st 10lb and Janice was 17st 9lb.

Mum-of-three Janice had also felt ashamed looking back at her wedding photos.

She said: “The image of me bulging out of my dress with my chubby face made me feel quite sick.”

The hairdresser, 34, of Dunfermline, Fife, said: “We have always loved food. After devouring loads we’d slump to watch television and scoff a family-sized bar of chocolate.

“After joining Slimming World we learnt how to cook healthy meals and by this March we had lost 7st each. We exercise more, have lots of walks with the dog and go on cycle rides.

“For the first time in years I feel slim and sexy.

“I said if I ever lost weight I’d want to renew our vows, so we’ve booked a ceremony in July. This time I’ll have a wedding album I’ll never forget, for the right reasons.”
