Make use of the summer heatwave and try out these great outdoor activities to get your heart pumping
We have a look at the activities you can do enjoy doing in the summer sun

AS we are having such a brilliant summer it’s the perfect time to try outdoor sports (just remember to put your sun cream on).
There’s overwhelming evidence to show exercising outdoors is better for you physically and mentally. Today, we look at outdoor activities and tested aftersuns.
Open-water swimming
Recent studies show regular immersion in cold water can help ease stress, depression and inflammation to increase immune function. There is no nasty chlorine, and it is more challenging than a pool. Conditions are rougher, the water is colder and you often cannot touch the bottom. Wear a wetsuit in cold weather. (.)
Netball
Eight out of ten women have played netball at some point in their lives – some loved it, others hated it. Back To Netball is an initiative to help women return to the game. And the good news is that referees aren’t as strict as they were back at school. It’s about fun, getting some “me” time with cardio, HIIT training and a core workout mixed into one. Whether you want to lose weight, improve muscle tone or just socialise, netball can help with it all. (.)
Trampolining
It isn’t just for kids. A trampoline workout can help you lose weight and shape up quickly. Spending only 5 to 10 minutes is almost equal to running a mile and it is a fun way to get a total body workout. You boost your cardio-respiratory endurance, build muscle tone and improve balance all at once. The Domyos 900 Pro Trampoline is designed for intense training at home and you can leave outside. BUDGET
Hawaiian Tropic, After Sun Body Butter, 200ml, (£5, ): A thick, rich and creamy aftersun promising to soothe sunburned skin with 12 hours of intense hydration. It contains coconut oil, shea butter and avocado oil to help prevent peeling. I loved the coconut scent and it feels much more expensive than its £5 price tag. This was fast-absorbing and ultra-soothing on sun-exposed skin. I loved it so much I now use it as a regular body cream and not just after I have been in the sun.
MID
Nuxe, Refreshing Aftersun Lotion, 200ml (£16, : Promises to hydrate the skin and includes natural carob powder to prolong your tan by up to two weeks. Has a gorgeous summery scent and silky smooth texture. I found this hugely hydrating and while it absorbed well it left a lovely glow on the skin. Nicely cooling after sun exposure and I’d definitely use it again.

LUXURY
Tropic, Sun Soothe Cooling Aftersun Lotion, 200ml (£18, ): Promises to cool, revive skin and enhance your natural tan. It contains menthol, which instantly calms red patches but leaves a strong, minty scent. Argan oil and vitamin E help nourish. This was definitely the most soothing for burnt skin but the smell was a little strong.
