Meghan Markle’s VERY intense training for her life as a royal revealed, from public speaking lessons to terrorism training

MEGHAN Markle has been catapulted from a Hollywood actress to a royal in training in less than 24 hours.

The former Suits star, 36, who announced her engagement to Prince Harry yesterday, admits her rapid transition into 'The Firm' has been difficult.

Meghan told the BBC's Mishal Hussain how nothing could have prepared her for the kind of attention the royals deal with on a daily basis.

“There’s a misconception that because I have worked in the entertainment industry that this would be something I would be familiar with," she said.

"But even though I had been on my show for I guess six years at that point, and working before that, I've never been part of tabloid culture."

Prince Harry’s communications team has reportedly been working closely with Meghan to help her transition into the new role, states.

“Meghan has had access to Harry’s most trusted aides since their relationship went public, so whether it’s advice on a business decision or handling a media issue, she’s been able to get advice whenever needed, and it’s been invaluable,” a source said.

“As they get closer to marriage, Meghan will receive more general advice from those close to Harry, whether it’s for public speaking or what to do at a state banquet.

"Everything she may be unsure about will be answered.”

Ahead of the spring 2018 wedding, Meghan, who does not yet have around-the-clock security, will also receive terrorism training from the Special Air Service, a special forces unit of the British Army, so she can protect herself in dangerous situations.

“Meghan will be put through a number of training scenarios in which she will be a hostage who needs to be rescued," a source told .

“She will be tied to a chair and members of the SAS with sub-machine guns and live ammo will fight their way into the building and rescue her.

“The training will be very realistic, pretty tough and can be very scary. Meghan will be told what to do and then given a chance to put what she has been taught into practice.”

When Kate Middleton married Prince William in 2011 she was given one-on-one lessons to “ensure she has a thorough knowledge of the Establishment”– and it’s likely Meghan will be too.

Meghan will be "briefed on how the State works, getting to know our national institutions better and learning more about organisations such as the arts, the media and the government".

On top of all of this, Meghan will likely be given etiquette lessons on how to sit, get out of a car, walk down stairs, curtsy and greet people.

She will also be given guidelines on how to dress - and it's likely her penchant for short hemlines will need to go in favour of less risqué silhouettes.

Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry CAN marry at Westminster Abbey as a 484-year-old tradition has ended.

But Paul Burrell predicts the pair will marry in St George’s Chapel.
