Shoppers race to local supermarket to nab pistachio frappé for just 16 PENCE, and it makes the perfect summer drink

THEY are one of the most popular coffee shop drinks when the weather heats up.
But a frappé is also one of the most expensive options, and can cost you around £5 in stores like Costa and Starbucks.
So Aldi is sure to enjoy huge success with one of their latest offerings, which means you can make a frappe at home for just 16p.
Not only that, but it's in the flavour of the season - pistachio.
One savvy shopper to share news of the exciting new product, which they'd spotted in their local store.
"Only 16p for a pistachio frappé? Yes please!" the video on the Ashleigh Money Saver account began.

They then showed the boxes on the shelf - the Barissimo frappé in original, white mocha and pistachio.
"I can confirm it tastes unreal!" she said.
All you need to do is to pour the powder into a glass, add cold milk of your choice, give it a stir and you're "good to go".
"Calling all pistachio lovers - get yourself down to @Aldi UK," they captioned the video.

"They have just launched their new Barissimo frappé sachets, including a pistachio flavour.
"£1.69 for a pack of 10, You know these will fly off the shelves!"
And people were quick to comment on the video, with one writing: "They’re sooo good!"
"We love them!" the poster replied.
"But the amount of of sugar in them," another pointed out.
To which someone else added: "I know, 33% sugar!"
However, the TikToker responded: "According to Google a caramel frappe would be 54-60g sugar!"
She added: "It’s not something I would drink so regularly that the sugar would put me off, personally."

Plus, don't forget about loyalty schemes at the high street coffee chains.
Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Caffe Nero all offer free drinks after a certain number of purchases — usually around nine or ten.
