CURLY Princess Andre has left fans shocked after committing the ultimate hair sin.
The beauty-obsessed 17-year-old is known for posting tutorials on her social media pages, but a recent post made fans worry that she is “destroying” her tresses.
The daughter of British icon Katie Price and Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre straightens her hair while it is wet.
During a video shared to her Instagram page, Princess herself said she was slightly worried that her unorthodox technique was going to “fry” her lengths… but did it anyway.
You can even hear her strands sizzling as the straighteners glide down them, to which she said: “That does not sound good.”
Wet hair is more fragile and vulnerable to breakage, and when you apply heated blades like those on straighteners directly to it, the water inside the hair shaft turns to steam.

This rapid steam expansion can literally cause the hair to bubble from the inside out, leading to dry and brittle hair that is prone to snapping.
Fans were quick to warn Princess of this.
Louise Vickerage penned in the comments: “Oh my god, dry it first or it will burn, beaut.
“Don't destroy that beautiful hair.”

Jennifer Vieira echoed: “Please blow dry your hair first. Add heat protection, too.
“You have such beautiful hair, so treat it delicately.”
One hairdresser weighed in: "You're giving us anxiety with this technique."
This isn’t Princess’ only questionable haircare practice.
In June last year, she revealed that her signature blonde curls are kept in check thanks to a “disgusting” hack.
"I don't think I do anything different to other people," she told .
Hairstyles that are kind to your locks
- Loose Braids: Opt for loose, soft braids rather than tight ones to minimise tension on the scalp and reduce breakage.
- Low Ponytail: A low ponytail is less stressful on your hair compared to high, tight ponytails. Use a fabric-covered hair tie to avoid snagging.
- Messy Bun: A relaxed, messy bun can be both stylish and kind to your hair. Avoid pulling your hair too tightly and use gentle hair ties.
- Soft Waves: Embrace your natural texture or use heatless methods to create soft waves, reducing the need for damaging heat styling tools.
- Half-Up, Half-Down: This style keeps some hair pulled back while leaving the rest down, reducing the strain on your scalp.
- Headbands and Scarves: Using headbands or scarves can keep hair out of your face without causing damage, and they can be quite fashionable.
- Loose Plaits for Sleeping: Before bed, loosely plait your hair to prevent tangles and breakage overnight.
"It sounds disgusting but unless I have to go somewhere, I won't wash it.
"I let the natural oils do their job.
"If I am going out, I will double shampoo it."
And while Princess will occasionally straighten her hair for a sleek look, she always avoids curling tongs and excessive bleaching.
