SPRAYLOR SWIFT

We test three setting sprays at all price points to help you get flawless make-up like Taylor Swift

And we take a look at a skin clearing gel cream that helps fight breakouts, scarring, sensitivity and redness

TAYLOR SWIFT’S flawless make-up appeared to last for hours as she watched last week’s Super Bowl.

I’ve spent the past month putting setting sprays to the test to achieve similar results.

This setting mist dries in just three seconds, and claim to ensure make-up is completely transfer-proof

L’Oreal Paris Infallible 3 Second setting mist, £9.99 for 75ml, boots.com: The latest setting spray to land on my desk, this launched last month and from the No1 authority on hairspray no less.

The aerosol makes this mist weightless, so much so that I wasn’t entirely sure whether it was hitting my face or not.

It dries in just three seconds, and claims to ensure make-up is completely transfer-proof.

I did find my foundation still transferred on to a tissue when I blew my nose, but it didn’t rub off when I hugged my friend.

The only thing I don’t love is the smell, which is too strong.

You'll have promising results with this if you have dry skin or don't wear loads of make-up

Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray, £12 for 30ml, boots.com: This is the first setting spray I ever used, over a decade ago, and it’s still going strong for a reason.

Sadly, despite its cult status, it’s no longer in my regular rotation for a few reasons – the main one is that it leaves a dewy finish, which isn’t great on my oily skin, and it’s quite a watery formula which I find can cause my make-up to run.

If you have dry skin or don’t wear loads of make-up, you’ll likely have better results – in a seven-day study of All Nighter, 78 per cent of the 50 participants said it helped their make-up last for 16 hours, so I could be alone in my thoughts.

As an acne-prone beauty editor, these are the 7 best cleansers for spotty skin and one is just £6

This mist truly keeps your look flawless all day

Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless setting spray, £19 For 34ml, cultbeauty.com: This launched in 2020, a real make-or-break year for cosmetics.

We needed it to go undisturbed by Covid masks, but we were also wearing much less given we rarely left our own homes.

Thankfully – and largely due to just how good it is – it quickly cemented itself as the most-loved setting spray among beauty editors.

The mist is fine so doesn’t disturb make-up at all, and it dries quickly.

Best of all, it does what it says and keeps your look flawless all day. By far, my favourite.

Beauty Editor Tara says this option is definitely a good one as she chose to repurchase it

THERE are so many new beauty launches that if I repurchase something, then you know it’s good.

That’s definitely the case for Beauty Pie Happy Face 10% azelaic acid skin clearing gel cream, £22 for members.

It soothes skin, reducing breakouts, scarring, sensitivity and redness.
