The UK’s largest indoor waterpark is a tangle of flumes, slides, splash zones and even the world’s longest indoor rollercoaster at 250 metres.

It has tropical temperatures of 29 degrees but actually sits on Blackpool’s famous promenade.

Bosses pride the park on being family friendly and suitable for people of all ages.

Tickets at the mammoth attraction start at £15 for kids and £24 for adults.

One of three UK destinations offering a giant inflatable obstacle course on a lake, Aqua Park is the ultimate thrill-seekers day out. 

There’s over 30 obstacles, an hour to complete the course, giant trampolines and slides to send you plunging into open water at rapid speeds.

The Lakeside venue is just a 50 minute drive from central London and based by the famous shopping centre in Essex

Prices start at £25 and the other two locations are in Slough and Milton Keynes.

Splashdown in Poole, Dorset offers 13 rides to choose from for high-speed thrills on shooting slides and a neat-vertical drop ledge. 

Each of the slides has a varying degree of intensity, meaning there’s something for everyone. 

There’s even a “bubble bench” and jacuzzi for parenting looking to relax while their kids take on eight-metre drops.

Prices for the waterpark start at £13.50.

This Scarborough-based park promises to be “‘unlike any waterpark you’ve seen before”. 

You’ll forget you’re even in Britain with the 35-degree heated infinity pool, views over the bay and kitted-out spa. 

That being said, there’s still the classic flume rides, wave pool and splash parks. 

Prices for Alpamare start at £15 for children and £19 for adults. 

Alton Towers Waterpark

You can intertwine a family weekend away with some fun in the water at Splash Landings Hotel in Alton Towers.

While it’s in the Stoke-On-Trent countryside, the faux palm trees and water huts will make you feel like you’re in the Caribbean. 

“Splashtastic giggles are guaranteed at Alton Towers Waterpark, whatever the weather, because we’re both indoors and outdoors and we’re open all year round,” bosses said.

Prices for the park start at £17.50 when booked online.

Stoke-On-Trent is a hub for waterparks, with Waterworld being filled with one million gallons of water to create a tropical paradise.

It has all the classic features like a lazy river, rapids and a wave pool, as well as heart-racing rides dubbed Black Hole and the Python. 

The Space Bowl shoots you into a bowl through a flume and you spin around until you drop out into the plunge pool below.

Waterworld children tickets start at £18 and adult ones at £21. 

Splashdown Quaywest

Outdoor park Splashdown Quaywest looks like something fresh out of a photography book with wide pale blue slides. 

It is the biggest outdoor waterpark in the UK with eight rides and sits on the Paignton, Devon seafront, including an arcade, beach bar and ice-cream hut.
