And all you need are two common household items, according to a pest control expert.

Boots sell 100 cotton balls for £1.38 - and Wilko sells a 1L bottle of white vinegar for a bargain £1.25.
He also said essential oils dripped onto cotton balls can help.

Peppermint and lavender oil can be bought for just £2.25 on Amazon.
Eucalyptus oil is £1.79 on eBay while popular bug-repellent citronella ranges from £1.45 for a 10ml bottle of oil at Online Pound Shop to £11.79 for a 750ml spray bottle on Amazon.
Jordan says white vinegar also works well when mixed with water and sprayed onto surfaces - stopping flies from lingering.
