Love Island’s Chris Hughes in furious bust up with Rylan Clark-Neal over Olivia Attwood’s Katie Price ‘lap dog’ jibe
Rylan confronted Chris and Olivia on the red carpet at the Specsavers' Spectacle Wearer of the Year event and the boys had to be separated as things got heated
LOVE Island Chris Hughes had a heated confrontation with Rylan Clark-Neal on the red carpet tonight and "had to be separated" as things got tense between them.
Rylan was unimpressed after Chris' girlfriend Olivia Attwood had branded him "Katie Price's lapdog" after he said on This Morning that she had "52 screenshots" of messages from Chris on her phone.
The Big Brother host was asked about the jibe on the red carpet at the Specsavers' Spectacle Wearer of the Year event and went straight over to confront Chris and Olivia.
A source said: "Rylan called Olivia over and it all started polite with air kisses but then he whispered in her ear and she looked shocked.
"Chris then got really irate and someone had to hold him and Rylan away from each other."
When asked what had happened Rylan said: "No, I'm great, I just don't want to get involved in anyone's f***ing business.
"If I was used by Katie I'd expect to be on a bigger wage than I am now. She's got a lot of money in the bank.
"But no I won't have anyone say that I get involved in other people's f***ing relationships because over the past 5 years I don't even publicise my own f***ing relationship so why would I get involved in other people's..."
When Chris and Olivia then made their way down the red carpet they told The Sun Online that "nothing happened" between them and Rylan.
"We were just catching up,"Olivia added.
The pair later tried to laugh off the row on Twitter as Chris tweeted: "Great night at the @Specsavers event hosted by @Rylan who did a great job as per! Been a long, tiring day, but a great way to finish it ❤️".
Rylan then replied: "Shattered after our “bust up” 😂. Take care mate @chrishughes_22 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻".
Rylan then appeared on This Morning
It all kicked off last month when Chris posted the texts Katie had sent him after she claimed they'd never been in touch.
Since then Chris refused to appear on Loose Women if Katie was a panellist while Katie hinted that he had blocked her but she still has "screenshots".
Rylan then appeared on This Morning with a message from Katie and said: "I don't get involved in this, but she has asked me to say that she has 52 screenshots of messages between her and Chris Hughes from Love Island.
"That is all I'm saying on the matter, she asked me to say it, I don't want to add fuel to the fire.
"He was adamant he hasn’t sent any messages. Her exact words: 'Yes, confirm, 52 screenshots I've got and the truth will out.'"
He then joked: "Never underestimate the Pricey."
Even today Chris hit out at Katie's looks saying "no wonder her marriage is sex-less".
