A MAJOR spoiler from EastEnders spin-off Redwater has leaked online.
The plot twist from the show - which features Kat and Alfie Moon's hunt for her son - aired in Ireland four days before the BBC broadcast and viewers flocked to social media to discuss it.
Viewers watched as Kat's son - who she previously had no idea existed - was revealed as priest Dermott, but in shocking scenes at the end of the episode, he murdered the man who told him.
Kat and Alfie have no idea about who Kat's son is, instead suspecting farmer's son Andrew as being the boy taken from her when she was just a teenager.
Irish fans immediately shared their shock at the murderous scenes on Twitter.
One fan wrote: "I knew it was the priest! #Redwater" while another added: "I did NOT expect to find out the identity of Kat's son this early!"
A third tweeted: "I knew Kat's son was going to be the priest and not the farmer. #Redwater"
Another said: "In a shocking subplot the priest is actually a serial killer, killing off #Redwater residents! He'll be brought to justice by Alfie."
"Oooh an evil priest. He has a temper just like his mammy. #Redwater," tweeted a fan while another added: "Trust Kat to have a psycho son."
However, the scene also drew criticism for being unbelievable with the two characters walking into the sea for a conversation.
One viewer wrote: "Walk into the sea for a chat. Like ya do."
"That's a fairly intense baptism right there," added another.
Redwater begins on the BBC on Thursday at 8pm.
