Tom Daley reveals doomed diving show Splash! has been ‘rested’ after contestant Rav Wilding sues for ‘life changing’ leg injury
The Olympic diver has broken his silence on the fate of the show...

TOM Daley has finally revealed his ITV diving show Splash has been “rested” after the athlete struggled to juggle his commitments in the run up to the Olympics.
The Olympic medallist appeared as the expert mentor to the celebrity contestants during its brief stint from 2013 to 2014.
He revealed: “I loved Splash. I had so much fun doing that and it was difficult doing it in the run up to the Olympics and doing ten Saturday night shows as it started getting into competition season. The show has been rested.”
In 2016, contestant Rav Wilding announced he was suing the show as a result of injuries he sustained in training.
Rav has been left with one leg shorter than the other after snapping hamstring tendons on the show, and cannot walk or stand without pain.
He had to cancel his wedding last summer because he needed money set aside for the big day to pay his medical bills.
He said of the incident: “I heard a popping noise, followed by an intense wave of acute pain, agony really.
“When I had surgery, they had to cut the full length of my leg down to the knee to locate and reattach the tendon.”
Despite the show being dropped by ITV, Tom still has reality TV amibitions in the form of alpine show The Jump.

Tom has just released a new cook book Tom’s Daily Plan.
In an interview last month, he revealed his plans to have a “whole diving team” of kids with fiancé Dustin Lance Black.
Tom says: “I’ve always been a family person so I’ve always wanted kids, and I know Lance does, too. I don’t know how many — an army of kids, a whole diving team.”
The wedding is scheduled for next year, though Tom is keeping tight-lipped on the details.
He says: “We’re in the planning stages at the moment and it is very exciting. But I’ve not been to a wedding since I was five so who knows what it will be like.”
