TV presenter Anita Rani has opened up on her Christmas hell after heartbreaking news left her "deeply sad".
The Countryfile favourite has reflected on a tough festive period after being left devastated after suffering a miscarriage back in 2018.
Anita, 46, has discussed how she faced an emotional turmoil after not "slowing down" with her career whilst experiencing the sad baby loss with her then-husband Bhupinder Rehal, a tech executive.
The popular star suffered the miscarriage and refused to take time off work amid her quest to achieve her career goals.
However, it led to the star having a bleak Christmas as she was left with the time to process the difficult news for the first time.
Speaking about juggling her demanding career at the same time as the miscarriage, Anita told Red magazine: "I came to the capital to live life to the fullest and carve a career in an industry that traditionally didn't employ people like me.

“I was working at my usual crazy pace, except I was also having a miscarriage."
Revealing how it went on to affect her Christmas, Anita recalled: “It was an incredibly sad time for me and my husband, but because there was so much going on with at work, I didn't slow down, and decided to process it properly at Christmas instead.
"The truth is, I didn't process it over Christmas.”
This battle led her to face scary panic attacks where she admitted that she no longer "recognised" herself.

Anita continued: “All year I felt anxiety and insecurity like never before. What made those feelings worse was the terror of not knowing or understanding what I was going through. I didn't recognise myself.
Speaking in 2020, she further said: “It's only now, after a year of reflection and paying attention, that I fully understand what the problem was - I was sad.
"Deeply, truly and cripplingly sad.”
Just last year, she revealed how being older had allowed her to be move vulnerable and speak more openly about her split.
She confessed: "I'm also more willing to be vulnerable, like talking about the miscarriage I had in 2018.
"Vulnerability used to scare the s*** out of me, but it has been liberating to share my personal story and see the response."
Antia and her husband went on to split in September of last year and they didn't go on to have any children together.
The BBC star and her hubby tied the knot in 2009 in a Sikh wedding ceremony but called it quits after "drifting apart".
A source told last year: "It’s really sad but they’ve decided to separate.
"Their hectic schedules over the past couple of years have sadly meant they’ve drifted apart over time.
"They remain on very good terms and wish nothing but the best for one another."
