When did Love Island star Hugo Godfroy leave the Majorcan villa? What we know about the Casa Amor contestant

LOVE ISLAND bombshell Hugo Godfroy left the Majorcan villa in a surprise quadruple dumping.
During his time on the show, Hugo enjoyed a flirty relationship with Jess White after the pair found an instant connection in Casa Amor.
Hugo Godfroy entered Love Island as a bombshell, hoping to find a partner in Casa Amor.
Speaking on his intentions when he entered the villa he said:
"I’ll be an honest Islander and I’m never afraid to be myself.
“I’m not a yes man - I’m going in there to find love and prepared to step on toes to do so," Hugo shared when asked about his approach in the show.
Hugo admitted to having a soft spot for Uma before entering the villa but Jess soon became his main focus when he settled in.
He said: “I like Uma, I think she carries herself well and seems very respectful.
“The same with Jess as my type is brunette.”
Staying true to his word, Hugo didn't hesitate to step on toes after he stole Jess' attention who was coupled up with Trey Norman back at the villa.
Reflecting on his experience Hugo admits:
"My Casa Amor experience was unbelievable.
"I went in with an open mind, looks wise Jess and Matilda were both my type on paper.
"Jess and I clicked right away.
"With Matilda- she’s flirty and she’s a lovely girl so we did get on well, but my head was set on Jess so I didn’t regret not talking to Matilda further."
Hugo Godfroy is a 24 year old electrician from Southampton.
Known for his generosity and ability to get along with anyone, Hugo was clear about his intentions to find "the one" on Love Island.
"I'll get on with everyone, I’m very generous but I am definitely in there to find the one," he said.
Hugo offered a glimpse into his personality: "I am massively driven.
I would’ve liked to be in there longer, there were such great people in there but obviously meeting Jess was the main takeaway from it.
Hugo Godfroy
“I love having a purpose in life and it would be nice to meet someone that matches that."
"I’m going in there to find love and prepared to step on toes to do so."
Hugo Godfroy first appeared on Love Island on Sunday, June 30, 2024, as part of Casa Amor.
During Casa Amor, the boys and girls are split into two groups, before one group heads over to Casa Amor to meet the new bombshells.
It is a test to see if the Islanders are tempted to explore new connections or stay loyal to their existing partners.
Jess was initially coupled up with Trey but that all changed when she met bombshell Hugo in Casa Amor.
Hugo reflected on his Casa connections:
"Going into Casa I had my eye on two girls - Jess and Matilda.
"As soon as I got in there I got on with Jess so well, we clicked immediately and things went from strength to strength.
"Things with Matilda were going alright but Jess was my main focus, she was who I was drawn to."
Hugo continued his connection with Jess after she recoupled with him back at the villa.
The couple got on well, but after getting cold feet Hugo admitted to Jess - in a scene on the terrace - that he missed the more flirtatious elements of their connection that they shared in Casa.
In emotional scenes that aired on July 10, 2024, Hugo was dumped from the island, along with Jess White, Blade Siddiqi and Emma Milton - after receiving the fewest votes from the public.
Speaking to ITV after leaving the show Hugo admits to having some regrets:
"Moving through the process things were so good with Jess, I got in my own head a bit as on the outside I’m so used to there being teething issues.
"It was me majorly overthinking."
In a scene before the day of Hugo's exit from the villa, he had confided in Ayo Odukoya, saying that he was "bored" of Jess.
"I regret saying some of the things I did say to Ayo because it was blown out of proportion in my own head.
"I’ve cleared it up with Jess, voiced it and we’ve picked up where we left off, which is great.
"I think we were moving a bit quick at the time, we were talking about things on the outside which was maybe a bit too soon.
"I can’t wait to go on a nice date now we’re out, she’s such a nice girl, I can’t fault her and I’m looking forward to seeing where things go."
Concluding his Love Island experience Hugo said:
"It was short and sweet and it was full of surprises!
"I would’ve liked to be in there longer, there were such great people in there but obviously meeting Jess was the main takeaway from it.
"I’m walking out with a smile on my face."
