Eagle eyed viewers of Saturdays episode are suggesting that the man behind the piranha costume is One Direction star Zayn Malik.
Showing off his colourful costume with gleaming white teeth, Piranha performed a rendition of Celine Dion’s emotional ballad, It’s All Coming Back to Me Now and fans seems certain of his identity.
One wrote, "I dunno why I hear Zayn Malik." Another said, "I really believe that its Zayn Malik. Meanwhile another said, “I’m convinced this is Zayn.”
The riddle which appeared on The Mask Singers official Instagram page said, ‘Piranhas are hugely hungry, piranhas do bite, but I’d rather munch popcorn on this special night.’

Indeed the judges Rita Ora, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan were baffled by the fish’s identity calling him the ‘best vocalist’ on the show this year.
The former One Direction star signed with new management last year, before releasing his new single, Love Like This in July 2023, showing off a more mature R & B sound.
The 31-year-old singer has also been taking time away from the spotlight to co-parent his three year old daughter Khai, from his relationship with model Gigi Hadid, 28, with whom he split after six years together in 2021.
It is thought the Bradford-born star may have chosen The Masked Singer as a vehicle to boost his profile for the UK audience, having been based in the US for so long.
