Kym is believed to have caught Covid from her son, whose girlfriend was "really poorly" with the virus.

The ex Corrie star was due to present the BBC daytime show alongside co-host Gethin Jones - but was instead replaced by the new It Takes Two host Janette.

'WENT DOWN LIKE DOMINOES'

At the start of the show Gethin announced: "Janette is in for Kym today. Kym is at home after testing positive for covid so we will check in with her.

"So we will be checking in with her during the show."

The TV star had missed a number of episodes of the show last week while self-isolating.

Kym later appeared via video link and revealed that her "whole household went down like dominoes".

She explained: "We took all the advice, he went and isolated in his room, we didn't have contact with him – apart from I was taking him his food and drink.

"We wore masks, handwashing, and we still all managed to get it. So it's amazing how transmittable it still is."

'FEELING RUBBISH'

Kym updated her fan on the status of her health and said that she was "still feeling rubbish" following her diagnosis but was "doing alright".

She also told viewers that she initially developed a bad cough which prompted her to take a Covid test.

Kym continued: "I'd had a bad cold, and had two PCR tests both negative, but still was kind of coughing all over the place.

"I travelled home as always on the weekend, to be with my family, with my kids, and then over the weekend my son has tested positive for Covid. So not great."

Speaking about her son's health, she said: "He's okay. He's not doing too badly. So it's come from his girlfriend, his girlfriend is also self-isolating. She's been really, really poorly.

"David hasn't so far been as poorly as she has but today he said he's aching more today and he's coughing more as well.

"But up to now, he's doing okay, so fingers crossed he'll be alright."

KYM'S PAIN

Kym's health scare comes after she revealed that she plans to marry her fiancé Scott Ratcliffe this year so her terminally ill father can walk her down the aisle.

Kym and the army major, 32, got engaged last month and are planning a military themed bash.

The actress revealed that her father Dave, 76, has been diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer, which has spread to his pelvis, spine, ribs and left leg.

Speaking about their imminent wedding plans, Kym told : “We’ve already booked it, it’s this year! Scott went away and did it all.

“My dad is struggling with walking now because he’s often in pain so we’re having the wedding in a few months’ time.

Kym has already picked her dress, she admitted it might surprise people and the couple are planning a “very big wedding party.”

Speaking previously about her dad’s illness, the former Corrie star said: "It has been a very difficult time, I can’t deny that, but we have always been very close as a family and so we have been able to talk together and plan for the future which is important."
