On loan Arsenal ace Reiss Nelson scores worldie for Hoffenheim against Bayer Leverkusen

ARSENAL loanee Reiss Nelson scored a worldie for Hoffenheim against Bayer Leverkusen to continue his blistering form for the Bundesliga club.

The 18-year-old ace has been on flying form lately - scoring five goals in six appearances this term.

And his latest came today as Hoffenheim hammered Bayer Leverkusen 4-1.

The Gunners whizz-kid controlled a pass from a short corner and fired a curler into the top-right corner to put his side 1-0 up in the 2oth minute.

And Arsenal fans loved the finish from their young starlet.

SunSport reported earlier this week that Nelson is thought to be on Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate's radar following his electric form - and his strike today will surely only reinforce that interest.

Speaking of his flying start last week, Nelson said: "I’m liking the Bundesliga. There’s a lot of top, top defenders that you come across.

“At the moment I’m very happy here... I’m playing, I’m scoring.

"But I’m an Arsenal player at the end of the day, so I have to stay and do my job here, then wherever football takes me I’ll go.”

Nelson signed a new long-term contract at the Emirates in the summer, but was shipped out on loan by Unai Emery, who didn't picture the winger in his first-team plans.

And now he will be hoping he can follow Jadon Sancho's lead and break into the England set-up Sancho has also been tearing it up in the German league after breaking free from the shackles of the Manchester City reserves.
