Karen Matthews pictured boarding bus with dyed hair and fake tan, 14 years after she faked her own daughter’s kidnapping

KAREN Matthews has been snapped boarding a bus with dyed hair and a fake tan - 14 years after she staged her own daughter's kidnapping.
The evil mum-of-seven was seen caked in make-up donning a black coat and bag near her home in a town in southern England - which cannot be named for legal reasons.
Matthews - dubbed "Britain's worst mum" after her part in the kidnap of her nine-year-old daughter Shannon in 2008 - has attempted to change her looks over the years after being released from prison a decade ago.
She has experimented with lighter and jet-black locks, as well as hiding behind sunglasses and headbands.
Tomorrow marks 14 years since schoolgirl Shannon disappeared on her way home from a swimming lesson in Dewsbury, West Yorks - sparking a huge £3.2million search.
Shannon was found tethered and drugged inside the base of a double bed almost a month after she was reported missing.
Matthews was going out with accomplice Michael Donovan’s nephew Craig Meehan at the time and they had planned to release Shannon and claim the police reward money.
But they were found guilty of kidnapping, false imprisonment and perverting the course of justice.

The shamed mum was sentenced to eight years behind bars, but served just half of her time and was released from prison in 2012.
She was given a new identity upon her release but claimed her past made it impossible for her to find a job and she had to survive on £25-a-week handouts.
Matthews complained in 2016: "I haven't even got credit on my phone".
However, a year later, Matthews was pictured working in a charity shop the day after the first episode of 2017 BBC drama The Moorside aired.
She was later snapped going shopping before meeting her Bible group for coffee.
The former factory cleaner has previously demanded plastic surgery to stop her getting hassled in the street.
