Inside David Jason’s stunning car collection worth £100,000s featuring Jaguars and a quirky Volkswagen Golf

NATIONAL treasure Sir David Jason has appeared in some of the greatest films and TV ever produced.

From Jack Frost to Del Boy, Sir David has entertained the nation and will go down in history as one of the acting greats.

And like many top names, Jason has enjoyed some lovely motors over the years, both personally and on screen.

We've rounded up a few of them here.

Jaguar XK8

Sir David was certainly a Jag man, having owned a few in his time.

One of which was this stunning Jaguar XK8 in green over a brown and cream leather interior.

He also owned another in a lighter metallic green, again with a light cream interior.

Speaking to in 2017, Sir David said his XK8 was his 'pride and joy'.

Before his XK8s Sir David went for the classic equivalent - the Jaguar XJS.

This very car was sold a while back at auction.

The advert stated that the 1991 4.0 XJS, finished in burgundy, with cream leather interior, had covered just 61,600 miles at the time.

It was bought brand new by David Jason Entertainment, before being registered in the star’s real name of David White.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet

It's rare to see a Volkswagen Golf Mark II these days, let alone a Golf Mark II GTI.

But a Volkswagen Golf Mark II GTI Cabriolet is as rare as hen's teeth.

Sir David had this very car, in fetching white paint with a matching interior.

The car sold with back in 2020 for nearly £26,000.

Sir David bought it for his long-term partner and it was one of only 138 'All White' limited edition models ever made.

We couldn't get together Sir David Jason's cars without some of his most famous on-screen motors.

One of those has to the Rolls-Royce he drove in The Darling Buds of May.

David played Sidney "Pop" Larkin, alongside Pam Ferris and Catherine Zeta-Jones in the 1990s comedy drama.

The Roller sold at auction back in 2021 for £63,000, after being sold for £100,000 just two years before.

Probably the most famous of all the cars Sir David Jason ever drove on screen; his bright yellow Reliant Regal van.

Del Boy's van was regularly seen with he and Rodney crammed inside on the way to their next money-making venture.

There was actually a fleet of six Reliant Regals used during the 22 years of Only Fools and Horses filming.

Sir David called the Trotters Independent Trading van a "symbol of great British eccentricity."

He was reunited with one of the six while filming in 2021, while another sold in the same year for £36,000.
