The bundle of eight smiling veggies are their to help you grow plants and trees in your garden.

The vegetable plant pot stakes Home Bargains is selling are by Jardin and include corn, a chilli, an aubergine, a carrot, a sprout, a pepper, an onion, and a tomato.

On their website, they describe the assortment by saying: "Add a splash of colour and fun to your garden, vegetable beds & pots with our vegetable garden stakes."

If you have old walking boots or wellies lying around you could be onto a winner.

Rebecca Pow MP is the UK’s Minister for Nature recommends using the boots or a tin can to let your plants flourish if you have limited space.

“Fill with soil, either sow seeds or buy a few bedding plants such as marigolds, aubretia, geraniums, and even some herbs such as parsley and marjoram,” she said.

“Remember to water.”

She said despite the unconventional method people should be able to grow their plants and have them thrive "for months."

“You can grow initially by sowing into a seed tray or pot - use a shallow one, filled with potting compost or soil but as I’m always pressed for time I sow as much as I can directly into the soil."

She revealed she likes to grow salad leaves, radishes, carrots, sugar snaps, and coriander.

“It is such a relief to know that I can pop outside and pick something good to eat without having to head to the shops," she said.

“You can also grow some stunning annual flowers such as cosmos and sunflowers.”
